Trouble staying connected

Postby K.o.D » 01 May 2018, 16:38

Server Disconnected-
NxAC: CVAR_VIOLATION
'sc_aim' IS 'null' SHOULD BE NULL it was '2'. tried entering /set sc_aim 0. didn't work, then tried 'null', didn't work.

Ben having this problem for a while. But only on N!tmod as far as I know. I've searched in all my .cfg files. Every. Single. One. I can't find it. I've searched for "sc_" and "aim", nothing. I remember some admin telling me to executing something like /exec writeconfig.cfg or something, and that helped me stay connected, until I exited the game and restarted. I've been told that it's from a bot. I've used them very few to test them on previous servers when I was a admin there. There maybe a .dll file I've forgotten....

I'm willing to have someone connect from team viewer to search, edit, and help me fix this problem.

NxAC is the build-in anti-cheat for Nitmod.
So thats reason why it only happens on Nitmod servers.

What if you tried it without the /set? So use /sc_aim

Kind regards,

Hey,

I'll make the thread complete.

KoD asked for help a few days ago. He was being disc by NxAC for what he wrote. Thought it was a cfg problem, as I saw the sc_aim should be null, I made him type /sc_aim 0, then /seta sc_aim 0, but it should be NULL, that line shouldn't even exist in any cfg to play on our server. I made a quick search on google and found out all sc_commands are related to aimbots (my source was aimbots.net or something like that).
KoD explained he used aimbots to test them on his server and I encouraged him to delete them and clear out all his cfgs.

Once he said it was done, he was still disc by NxAC for the same reason. I think a cfg in Etmain or Nitmod folders still contains some sc_commands (probably autoexec). I'm not really a specialist of those things, so I asked him to post here.

Edit : Seems like he managed to clear it out cause he was playing yesterday without being disconnected.

Anyways, I have the full record of our conversation on the server if needed. Just ask :)

Florian.

hi, i dont know, if the problem still exists, but as far as i know, for example wallhacks are mostly a part of a modified opengl.dll (opengl32.dll) or other related files.
The change in your config file is maybe hardcoded in these files, because of this, you dont find anything in your config.
Its also possible, that the cfg file could be in a pk3 file, that means, everytime you start the game, this config is executed.
I would say, make a backup of your etkey and your nkey.dat, and make a new clean install of Enemy Territory.
Copy back your etkey and your nkey.dat, and it should be done.

Good luck.
