How To Record / View a Demo of your game & Screens

How to make a Demo & Screenshot:

1. Run Enemy Territory Program.

2. Press ~ Button on your Keyboard to Open Console.Key is here:


3. Type /connect IP OF SERVER


4. You are Connected in server now, just Press Again the ~ Button to Open Console


5. And Type in Console /record Choose the Name you want & press Enter key.

You will see action running on bottom of your screen.

6. At the End of Map the recording action will automatically stop.
But
If you want to stop recording Demo manually just Press again the ~ button

to Open Console and Type in there: /stoprecord


* You can also make a Demo just simply press F12 button on your keyboard if you have the Default ET Settings
OR (type in console: /bind F12 autorecord) to bind the F12 key.


If you do this then you will see the action running again but with different name.
This name that ET create is like this: 2008-08-18-000249-goldrush.dm_82
& is apparting of 4 elements:

1. 2008-08-18 : Year-Month-Day
2. 000249 : Random Numbers of Et code
3. goldrush : Current Map
4. .dm_82 : Extension of file

At the next map the Record action will stop.
If you want too Record again then Follow the same steps.

Now we already make a demo and we want too see it.

Is Simply action too:

1. First we must find where the Demos that we create is.

2. Open your Windows File Explorer & Go too:
C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\jaymod\demos


3. And Find the Demo that you Create (you can find it by day/map or name that you give)
BUT Always demos have this extension: .dm82 see examples below:



4. Now open your Enemy Territory Program

5. Connect ip

6. And when you are connected Go Back too your Windows File Explorer in same Location
(C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\jaymod\demos)

7. Click on your Demo File slowly twice and get hole name of it (with extension) by copy comand. Ctrl+C


8. Now Go to Enemy Territory Program and Open Console with ~ key

9. Type in /demo and press Ctrl+V and Enter key to run the comand.

to get in, your name of Demo that you choose.


Now you will see your Demo

Now about take ScreenShots:

Press F11 button on your keyboard (if you have the Default ET Settings)
OR
Type in Console: /bind F11 autoscreenshot to bind the F11 key.

These .jpg images is in :
C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\jaymod\screenshots

Now if you want take screenshot manually (for example take ss for console)
just type in console /screenshot ChooseNameYouWant and press Enter key.


Now If you want to record your game ALWAYS just do the steps below:

1. Open your Enemy Territory Program
In Menu go too: Options -> Game & choose in Auto-Action: Demo
