If you really want you can try a registry back up it might solve your problem but it doesnt work all da time , else when you see Jay ask him he will give them to you but Xp doesnt give you any advantage or disadvantage and its kind of useless anyway !

... a screen resolution problem load from your cfg so if it happen when you exec et straight away you have to delete all your .cfg files (if you want keep them to test it i suggest you to copy and paste them in a folder but you need remove them for now if that the problem psot your cfg you want ...

If i understand well you want 3440x1440 as soon as your start ET without do a vid_restart if it the case try put your nitmod cfg into etmain folder , start your ET exec your cfg on main menu before click on nitmode then do /vid_restart ...
