its the ram for sure, i had on my old pc only 512 mb ram with same grapiccard, i upgraded to 2 gb ram and my et was working liquid.

Hi, @jay: that didnt work, had the same problem on every server, my solution was: disabling ipv6 (ipv6 doesnt work on old games such ET, must turn it back on if playing new games, but i don't play anything other than ET)..fixed all the problems ...
