i have tried all of those commands and it hasn't had barely any effect .. i will try setting my graphics to a lower setting when playing, see if that makes any difference

received my 1gb ram yesterday, so boosted my pc up to 1.5gb ... running a stable fps of 76-100 which is wayyy better than the 20 fps i have been experiencing

... on my mainboard. after a while my sound didnt work anymore i repaired it and its all working fine! So maybe chek temperatures / fans and stuff. ok thanks its worth a shot ... im thinking i may have knocked something (like a fan) out of place when i installed the new ram .. i will have to open it ...
