Hi!
Did anyone else notice that there is no sound in ET on Windows 11? I upgraded my system from Windows 10 to 11 and saved the complete ET folder, but it runs without sound. I tried the compatibility mode and 'run as administrator' too, but nothing. Reinstall, 2.55, 2.60, 2.60b version did not help either. Drivers are ok, the sound is normal in all other programs. Can someone help?

If you updated the sound drivers and doesnt help try to install DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010) ,
and if this doesnt help try to change sound frequency:
1.Go to Audio settings click Sounds- change sound scheme to Windows Default (apply),
go to playback-speakers-propreties and check that device is enable.
2.Go to advance tab and change sound frequency from 24 bit to 16 bit 44100Hz (CD quality) (apply changes and restart PC)

Hope it will help

Thank you Mae$tro, but this settings didn't help. I installed VirtualBox and a Win 10 into it. I copied here the full ET directory from Win 11 and it worked flawless in this virtual environment (naturally with sounds). I think there will be incompatibility issues between Win 11 an ET.

If you're still experiencing the problem, it's worth checking if there have been any updates or patches released for ET since then. Sometimes developers release fixes for compatibility issues over time. Additionally, make sure your sound drivers are up to date, as that can often resolve sound-related problems. If all else fails, you could try running ET in compatibility mode for an older version of Windows, like Windows 7 or 8, to see if that helps restore the sound functionality. By the way, if you're ever in need of a legit Windows 10 key, you can check out windows 10 key cheap on Reddit for some affordable options. Just a little tip for you!
