I hope your PC is a good one, the alpha was stripped down graphically and the end product will be much more of a hog on resources.
If ETc get a BF3 server ill come take a look, i noticed you have a BFBC2 server but it is Vietnam and i refused to buy that.

we changed back to vanilla bf bc2

Minimum System Requirements
OS: WINDOWS VISTA (SERVICE PACK 2) 32-BIT
PROCESSOR: 2 GHZ DUAL CORE (CORE 2 DUO 2.4 GHZ OR ATHLON X2 2.7 GHZ)
MEMORY: 2 GB
HARD DRIVE: 20 GB
GRAPHICS CARD (AMD): DIRECTX 10.1 COMPATIBLE WITH 512 MB RAM (ATI RADEON 3000, 4000, 5000 OR 6000 SERIES, WITH ATI RADEON 3870 OR HIGHER PERFORMANCE)
GRAPHICS CARD (NVIDIA): DIRECTX 10.0 COMPATIBLE WITH 512 MB RAM (NVIDIA GEFORCE 8, 9, 200, 300, 400 OR 500 SERIES WITH NVIDIA GEFORCE 8800 GT OR HIGHER PERFORMANCE)
SOUND CARD: DIRECTX COMPATIBLE
KEYBOARD AND MOUSE
DVD ROM DRIVE

Recommended System Requirements
OS: WINDOWS 7 64-BIT
PROCESSOR: QUAD-CORE CPU
MEMORY: 4 GB
HARD DRIVE: 20 GB
GRAPHICS CARD: DIRECTX 11 COMPATIBLE WITH 1024 MB RAM (NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 560 OR ATI RADEON 6950)
SOUND CARD: DIRECTX COMPATIBLE
KEYBOARD AND MOUSE

my requirements are on recommended, one problem is, i use a direct x 10 card, on bf bc2 i have highest settings without any lag or low fps.

You will be ok with your DX 10 card, you just wont have stuff like tessellation, it isn't a big deal.
I remember a while back you were not interested in BFBC2, just out of curiosity what changed your mind ?.

You don't need a card with DX10.1 just DX10 will do, although to be honest unless you have a quad core @3ghz or higher you may struggle regardless of what card you get.

The metro map i am not overly fond of, although i have had some funny moments on it, but Caspian border is a different story altogether.
They have improved the old BF movement out at last and now you can run and strafe sidewards which is 100 times better than the old point and run system they used in all their other games.
I am, also not to keen on the fact they make you use a web browser, sonar and origin to play the game, i would of rather had a ingame browser like most games do.
Only time will tell if the new way of launching the game is any good.

I will say this though, i have played pretty much all FPS games since X Y bots at the arcades and this game is the best i have played so far, ET will always have a place in my heart as i have played it since 2003 but it is no BF3 that's for sure. If you like to be able to use your brain and do awesome teamwork and tactics then this is the game for you, i know ET has tactics and teamplay but it is not in the same league as BF3.

Nothing like having a whole squad enter a helicopter fly off get a few feet of the ground then blow up because some naughty person put C4 on it, oh the joys of BF3 :)

quote:
GRAPHICS CARD: DIRECTX 11 COMPATIBLE WITH 1024 MB RAM (NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 560 OR ATI RADEON 6950)

i play with a gtx 285 2gb ram. works very good. was cost near 450€, now only 200 - 240€

a GTX 560 arround 150 - 200€
